Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday. Curtis and I were up early yesterday waiting on the kids to wake up. Now that they are teens, we end up waking up before them. Jacob was really excited about the new custom skateboard he had asked for. Josh had asked for cash, so that he can do his own shopping. I guess this is expected as they get older. Ofcourse after the gifts, we all ate way too much pecan pie, german chocolate cake and other goodies. It was such a cold rainy day that we decided to stay in our PJ's and watch movies most of the day. It was a nice to have a day at home.

Two & a half school days left!!

Only two & a half school days left until we are finally out for Christmas break. I cant wait!! The kids are looking forward to having more time to go deer hunting. Curtis and the kids headed for the woods before daylight this morning. Im hoping they can all get a deer. Curtis wont have much time off during our holiday break but we will make the most of the time we do have. We are getting started tomorrow on our holiday baking. The boys insist on making peanut butter balls and sugar cookies every year. I also want to squeeze in a trip to the river walk. Clarksville has a walkway along the Cumberland River decorated with 1.5 million holiday lights. Ill try to remember and take the camera so I can post some pictures. I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. (Melissa-loved the Christmas card, thanks)

Christmas, is almost here!!

Its almost here and I have not bought the first gift. I guess I better get busy this weekend and just get it done. I have lots of other things filling my time. Josh finally had surgery on his toes to rid himself of those pesky in-grown toenails forever. He walked around for 2 days with huge bandages on only his big toes. He was a sight! The kids have been filling their time with lots of activitys. Jacob goes to the youth center two or three days a week after school to shoot pool. He is becoming a little pool shark. Josh is getting another promotion to Sgt. in Jr Rotc. He just joined FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and has been asssigned a position as an officer. He's busy making fliers and recruiting more members. Curtis and I finally had a night out. We were invited to join some new friends for a drink last night. Other than the blistery cold weather last night, we had a good time. We also had a little snow this past week. It was pretty. I guess thats all I got for now. Oh yeah, I noticed since myspace came into your lives, your no longer blogging. LOL
